"Ferocious" Oskar, a 4 years old Pacific Parrotlet

"This is Oskar, my 4 yr old pacific parrotlet during his first camping & beach trip w/o a parrot companion last summer. I adopted "ferocious" Oskar in late 2009; to me, however, he's been true to his name: a "gentle friend." His caring & compassionate nature nursed me through the unexpected illness & death of his female flockmate last Christmas. Though shy & high-strung in temperament, he's become much more confident & trying all sorts of new things! He can't wait until it warms up enough to run errands, go on vacation, & just hang out on the porch in his outside cage." ... Maria T.
