Andrea's Piper
"My 6 year old Timneh African Grey is Piper. She loves to go outside into the garden or for long car rides. Our Problem is her carrier. My husband made it for her, from 1/4 inch Lexan (tm)- it is VERY heavy, and if it sits in the sun for more than a few minutes, 's like a greenhouse! There are some many other places we could bring Piper, if we had a better carrier! Due to West Nile Virus in our area, we need something with screening! I have wrapped her caarrier wth netting, but that just upsets her!"

| | Anita's Scarlett (winner!)
"This is Scarlett with her man, Dan. They are reading Scarlett's favorite book "Scarlett". It is a book about her adventures traveling in the southwestern states."

| | Michele's Gaia and Shanti
Gaia is a 5 years old femelle green cheek conure and Shanti is a 3 years old femelle crimson conure. Both are really good friends and travel well together. This picture was taken inside my car while I was taking a break. The birds always travel in a carrier since they don't have their wings clipped. On that day, the weather was nice and I was out picking cranberries. They were outside in the carrier with me until I decided to go back to the car to let them stretch their wings. They love participating in all activities with me but I take them only when it is safe for them. I just love them ! Gaia is a green cheek conure and Shanti is a crimson consure.

Julie's Peregrim (Winner of calendar contest!)
Peregrim, or Grim for short, is a two year old Cockatiel who spends his days with me hitching rides on my shoulder as I go about my daily activities at home or inspecting his reflection and shadow when I'm out. He's a bit mischievous and tries to nibble on the sides of books as I read (sometimes out loud to him), steal food from my plate instead of his when he thinks I'm not looking, and complains on the occasions I attempt to sing. Yet, he's been more of a friend to me than most people and he always knows when I need a good cuddle. We may make an odd flock of two but I wouldn't have it any other way and if I move west for college he will no doubt be journeying along with me.

"This is Shanti. Shanti Means Peace in Sanskrit. Shanti is now 6 years old, and we have had him sine he was weeks old. He is the love of my life. I tell people I would of sat on his egg if I wouldn't of crushed it. Shanti is truly amazing. He does anything and everything. He Loves to Dance, Roller Skate, Wave, Laugh, Dance, and so many other things. We take him on every trip we go. We plan our vacations around him. He loves to ride in the car. He dances to the music the whole way to Florida. He is too too cute. He is the most precious companion I have ever had. I love him with my whole heart and soul. He is very spoiled, but I think every animal should be. He rules our house. He is quite the entertainer, and he gets attention wherever he goes. He even has his 2 cats of his own as pets. My Life wouldn't be complete without this sweet little Man in it. He has my heart, and I love him like a real child. Here in the picture Shanti was sitting on top of Buddha, and he thought Buddha needed a kiss. Shanti warms the hearts of everyone he meets, he is a truly amazing soul, and I am Thankful he is a part of my life.."

| | Judy's Ziggi Gizmo
"This is Ziggy Gizmo, my Red Sided Eclectus. He is a chimera, which means that he has both male and female reproductive organs. This is why he has the red and violet colors on his breast instead of all green like normal males. Ziggy also has a black streak down the middle of his upper mandible, which not normally there for a male.
A male usually has a "candy-corn" upper mandible. Females have a black upper mandible. Ziggy has both!
Ziggy is a sweetheart, and would love to be the winner of your contest so he could show off his rainbow colors to the world. We'd like to start visiting nursing homes in the area to put a little bright spot in the lives of the elderly. "

| | Suzanne's Sage (winner!)
"My husband Chris and our Black Headed Caique Sage."

| | Patti's Digit
" I have a 12 year old disabled Goffin Cockatoo named Digit. Digit was rescued from a horrific situation and breeder in Washington State. Digit was born with deformed feet, one backwards, the other webbed which makes it impossible for Digit to exist like a normal bird would. When I rescued Digit from the breeder, Digit was running around a dirt covered floor, totally brown in color and at the mercy of large breed birds, little chance of surviving.
I have always tried to make his life a happy one, as close to allowing him to be a bird as possible. Digit has to live in a cage where all surfaces are totally padded to protect his leg with the backwards foot. I looked for a carrier that Digit could use and found this carrier. Although the perch had to be padded with many towels, this is the first carrier that Digit felt comfortable in and didn't panic when being put in it. I believe its because Digit can see out in numerous directions, the design makes for alot of room for Digit at nightime for his padded bed surface just by removing the perch with ease,We use this carrier everytime we go to our camper, and though Digit has a cage already up there, at the time to go to bed, Digit prefers to sleep in the carrier, thanks for the great design and thought you put into creating this product."

"My name is Megan and i have a 7 month old african grey named Johnboy. Johnboy is a beautiful bird with a great personality. He loves to try new things. He plays with his toys and enjoys looking out the window. He cuddles with me and lets me hold him like a baby! He gives kisses and hugs too!
